Citizen’s Heritage

The Citizen Asset Program is the framework within which the Barcelona City Council is equipped to recognize, consolidate and promote citizen initiatives for the use and community management of the municipal public heritage.

During the period 2015-2021 and jointly with other entities, we worked on its design and implementation. The objective was to develop a conceptual and normative framework to facilitate and foster public-community collaboration. This challenge connects with historical demands related to self-government and direct democracy that have a long tradition in Barcelona.
