Mauro Castro Coma

Co-Director of the Economy and Commons Area.

Economist and PhD in Political Science from the UAB (2016) specialized in urban political economy. For more than 15 years he has been dedicated to the analysis of urban inequality and the study of local public policies and their articulation with the common goods and the development of municipalism. 

He has worked as a researcher and professor in the Department of Business Organization at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, in the Màster Estudis Urbans and also in the Institut de Govern i Polítiques Públiques at the UAB. Member of the Global Working Group Beyond Development and of the Xarxa Fundación de los Comunes and Urban Front, laboratories that produce critical thinking from social movements as a tool for political intervention.
